Accessibility Statement
MC Construction Design is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
Our commitment
We are committed to meeting the accessibility requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and to providing our goods and services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities.
Conformance level
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We test the site against that standard, but we do not claim full conformance: some areas may fall short, and third-party content embedded in the site is outside our control.
What we have built in
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is always visible.
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page lets keyboard and screen-reader users bypass the navigation.
- Text colour combinations are measured against the WCAG contrast thresholds rather than chosen by eye.
- Animation is deliberately minimal, and all of it switches off for visitors whose system is set to “reduce motion”.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
- Headings, landmarks and form labels use real semantic HTML, so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
Known limitations
- The Contact page embeds a Google Maps frame. Its accessibility is determined by Google, not by us. The same information — that we are a mobile team serving Toronto and the GTA — is written in text directly above the map, so nothing is only available inside the map.
- Some project photography is currently stock imagery standing in for our own gallery. Alternative text describes what the image shows and will be updated when the real photographs replace it.
Alternative formats
If any information on this site is not accessible to you, we will provide it another way — by phone, by email, in large print, or in person during a site visit — at no charge. Just ask.
